IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE: Free Number Plate Compliance Check

At Perauto, quality and road legality are our top priorities.

We have recently identified that a single supplier batch of digits used for some of our 3D Gel and 4D Acrylic plates purchased in 2024 fell short of the current BSAU 145e standard. Because these characters look visually identical to our fully compliant stock, the issue cannot be spotted with the naked eye.

Under infrared (IR) cameras—such as police Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and enforcement cameras—non-compliant characters do not register properly, often creating what authorities refer to as a “ghost plate.”

To resolve this immediately:

  • Free In-Person Check: I have invested in a specialised IR testing scanner (the same technology used by enforcement cameras). Pop by the shop, and I can verify your plates in under two minutes.

  • Free Replacements: If your plates were supplied by Perauto and are affected by this batch, they will be replaced completely free of charge.

Bought your plates elsewhere? If you have plates from another supplier and have experienced issues with car park barriers or ANPR cameras, feel free to stop by as well. I am more than happy to scan them for you free of charge.
